John Petrucci

Petrucci grew up on Long Island, precisely in the park with the Kings Petrucci John Myung and Kevin Moore School at the same place. Petrucci playing the first guitar at age 8 years. Therefore developing rhythms and thrash metal, Petrucci added effect on the music of Metallica and Queensryche. Petrucci grew up in a family that loved music. This can be seen from his brother who all the musicians. While Petrucci himself finally chose the guitar as an instrument of choice. Petrucci began playing guitar since the age of 12 years. He spent about six hours in a day to practice guitar. No different from other children, Petrucci also has a small idol. He is very affected by games such as guitar-guitar Malmstein Yngwie, Steve Morse, Steve Howe, Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Al Di Meola, Alex Lifeson and Allan Holdsworth. He cites his hero as "the Steves and the Als." He was also influenced by the bands - bands like Rush, Yes, Iron Maiden, The dregs, to Metallica. Though small, Petrucci had made a band with a friend, Kevin Moore. After graduating from high school, Petrucci chose to go to music school, Berklee College of Music in Boston. Petrucci career began when he was studying in Barklee. Petrucci and when high school friend, John Ro Myung, had the idea to form a band to fill the void in college. They met with drummer Michael "Mike" Stephen Portnoy in the practice rooms at Berklee, and after two days of negotiations finally agreed to join Mike. Keyboard position by a childhood friend the first time, Kevin Moore. Meanwhile, Chris Collins has been selected to be a singer. Formed a band called Majesty.
