Babysitters: If you're looking for a babysitting position, take a look at those that opened up this week. A family in Holtsville is hiring a full-time sitter to care for a five-year-old boy and 17-month-old girl from 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. The family has a dog and two cats, so applicants should be comfortable with pets. Another Ronkonkoma family is looking for help caring for a three-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl during the workday four days a week, including both weekdays and Saturdays. Hours may vary, but the hired sitter will not be needed past 6:30 p.m.
Compliance Administrator: Guaranteed Returns, founder of the Pharmaceutical Reverse Distribution Industry, is looking for a compliance administrator to work in its Holbrook location. The position is full time, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and wages will be dependent on the applicant's experience. The compliance administrator will be responsible for managing the operations of the compliance department personnel, enforcing company safety policies, and assisting departments with product classification. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years in a supervisory role, experience conducting accident investigations, and a background in the hazmat or pharmaceutical industry among other experience.
Custodial Manager: DL MDL Joint Venture in Holtsville, a joint venture between LB&B Associates and Dae Sung Corporation, needs a custodial manager with at least three years of previous custodial experience. Primary functions of the position include supervision of custodial staff, conducting weekly safety meetings and on-the-job training, and performing daily inspections as required.

We have an immediate opportunity to make Oakland a People’s Port as the City Council considers a jobs policy that would ensure the massive expansion of port activities onto the former Army Base leads to thousands of good paying jobs for Oakland residents. The City will consider this policy on December 13.
