Mawei speeds up construction process
On Oct 22, Yang Yue, secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Yang Yimin, vice-secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor of Fuzhou, led senior Fuzhou officials to inspect the planning and construction of Mawei new town.
Yang Yue said the city needed to comprehensively implement the decisions of the provincial Party committee, provincial government, and the 10th congress of the municipal Party committee in constructing Mawei new town. It should follow the high standards planned for the new town, to develop it into an open modern new town suitable to live and work by the river and sea.
Yang Yue inspected the construction sites of Mawei bridge, eastern hyper-channel Gushan tunnel, and Langqi Minjiang river bridge. They also heard reports on the planning and construction of Mawei new town.
Yang Yimin pushed for construction to be sped up. The city must make good use of the land and coastline resources, and contain riverside features and modern landscapes. It must accelerate infrastructure construction to allow easy transportation of vehicles. Other senior officials of the city, Zhou Hong, Xu Qiyuan, Wu Xiande and Zheng Jianmin also inspected the construction site.
