The Corsicana Piecemakers’ Quilt Guild will host an annual Quilt Show at the Warehouse of Living Arts Center for the entire month of October. The public is invited to view the quilts weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The quilts will also be available for viewing each Saturday, Oct. 8, 15, and 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please bring your quilts and entry fee, if you plan to have your quilt judged, to the Warehouse Living Arts Center at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29. Bunert Park Plaza Fundraiser luncheon will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the old Lone Star Gas Annex building next to Corsicana Library. Pelham Community Homecoming celebrates 54 years, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7 with a Worship Service emceed by Rev. Charles Kelly at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Pelham, with Rev. Frank Gee as the speaker. From 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 8, there will be Pelham “Fun and Frolic.” Family and friends activities will be hosted at the Pelham Community History Museum. Bring your lawn chairs, and the museum will be open for tours. On Sunday, Oct. 9, Sunday School will begin at 9 a.m., and Homecoming Worship Services at 10:45 a.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church. Rev. Membership is open to U. S. Armed Forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975, or in any duty location between Aug. 5, 1964 and May 7, 1975. The veteran must submit a copy of his/her DD Form 214 along with the application and dues. Members and guests are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting. She has been singing at church since she was a little girl and has participated in musicals at Northside and one at the Warehouse. Her love of a music is a vital part of her life and she enjoys sharing it with others. Betsy Haynie-Stroder comes from a long line of musicians. She loves to sing with her brother, Byron Haynie, and sometimes Brad will join them. Her smooth harmony is lovely to hear. Rhonda and Betsy will be singing old country favorites by The Judds, Randy Travis and others. They will also throw in a little bit of good old Southern Gospel. You don’t want to miss this. Martin Bedell (cadet)
Presidio Alto Military Academy Cadet Captain Martin Bedell, portrayed by Will Rothhaar, would play a role in forming the core of Tech-Com using his military training and experience. Derek Reese and John Connor save him from a T-888 while he is in military prep school.In the future, he participated in a mission with Jean to release prisoners of Skynet in one of its concentration camps, Century, including Kyle Reese. Years after the event on-site century, he sacrifices himself to save Kyle Reese, John Connor, and 39 prisoners by the forces of Skynet.
Martin "Marty" Bedell (child)
Martin "Marty" Bedell, played by Billy Unger, a child is targeted by a T-888 because it shares the same name as a future hero of the human resistance. Remembering that two other Sarah Connors were killed in 1984 by the T-800 hunting for her, Sarah shelters and protects the boy with the guardian terminator Cameron Phillips, while John Connor and his uncle Derek Reese hunt the T-888. In the Connor home, he prepares a book report on L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for school. Cameron suggests the novel after finding it on a shelf in their furnished home and reminding Sarah that it was John’s favorite book as a child.
Father Armando Bonilla
Father Armando Bonilla, portrayed by Carlos Sanz, is a priest to whose church Sarah and John Connor fled in the episode “Samson and Delilah”, escaping from a malfunctioning Cameron. He provides sanctuary to the Connors while they prepare a booby trap for Cameron as it is very likely that it will be able track them down. Father Bonilla is shocked when John Connor tries to cut into Cameron’s skull to remove its chip but is quickly chased away by Sarah. Bonilla appears again in the season finale, conducting a confession to who turns out to be Chola, the lookout in Carlos’ gang in the first season. They seem to be related somehow either by family relations or their ethnic background. Bonilla is also asked for by Sarah Connor when she’s incarcerated in LA County Lockup and gets trapped in Sarah’s chamber when Cameron assaults the security to break her out.
